About
I have a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan (1999) and an MFA in creative writing from The Ohio State University (2006). I taught academic writing to graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Michigan’s Sweetland Center for Writing from 2007 – 2012 and have been freelancing as an academic editor and writing consultant since then.
I am coauthor of Writing in Political Science: A Brief Guide (Oxford University Press, 2016), and coeditor of Using Reflection and Metacognition to Improve Student Learning: Across the Disciplines, Across the Academy (Stylus, 2013) and Transforming Science and Engineering: Advancing Academic Women (University of Michigan Press, 2007).
